Hello SCLP Friends,

Is your dog going stir crazy--staying inside with no exercise?

If yes, then consider bringing your pet to SCLP Rescue on Tuesdays and Thursdays for dog daycare. We can wear them out while you work. A tired dog is a good dog!! Daycare is $10.00 per day per dog.

We have several beautiful, well-behaved dogs for adoption (don't get me wrong, we have some onery ones too!) as well as several puppies. Now is the time to adopt and get ready for Spring.

We also have several cats and kitties. Check our website at www.SCLPRescue.org for details about each pet for adoption.

We are also looking for more volunteers to play inside with the rescue dogs (not the dog daycare dogs) or to kennel sit with them--spend time in the kennel sitting, petting, playing. Jade could really use some kennel sitting time. Please let me know if you'd be interested in any of these activities.

Wish List -- Things we need:

Volunteers for Indoor Play - We now have 1,500 sq. ft. of indoor play space (the size of a medium sized house) that the dogs love to play in. We need volunteers to come and play with the dogs. The area is heated (you may want to bring a light jacket), come and avoid the cold from outside.

Stereo Speakers - We have amplifiers that were donated, but we need eight (8) stereo speakers to put sound in each of our areas. Music really helps to keep the animals calm. Any speakers from an old stereo will do.

Utility Sinks - we need three (3) 20" x 20" x 13" utility sinks. These can be found at Menards, Lowes, etc. Also, we need the corresponding faucets that fit these sinks.

Tennis Balls - (Penn, Wilson, Dunlop, Spalding, etc.) If you know someone who is an avid tennis player, they probably have some old tennis balls lying around. Unfortunately, the inexpensive tennis balls only last an hour or two.

Cat Toys - We prefer the ones that are washable. The cats love these toys, but the ones that can't be washed have to be replaced too often.

Dog Toys - KONG or Nylabone are two of the best built and safest toys on the market. These toys can last for many months in the heavy use of the rescue environment.

Cat Litter - we go through lots of cat litter, any brand can be used.

Kitten Replacement Milk - milk replacement for kittens. This can be frozen so it can last a long time.

We appreciate all of the items that have been donated. Without you, SCLP Rescue wouldn't exist. Fortunately, we have plenty of the following items. Keep in mind that we will use these items and eventually we will need more of them, but for now, we are out of space to store the following:

Dog food
Cat food
Dog treats
Towels
Blankets
