Update on Little Biscuit......

Biscuit continues to do very well. She has almost doubled her weight since arriving. She was 2.6 pounds and now she is more than 4 pounds. She is playful and friendly. We think she might be a chug (chihuahua pug mix) but we are not sure of that yet. She is getting more hair every day, but she is still being treated for mange. And her paws are still swollen. A new picture is above.

Several people have indicated they'd like to adopt Biscuit, so I am certain we will find her new forever home among those who inquired!

THANK YOU to everyone who donated towards her care. You continue to be the best friend of 'mans best friend' and for that SCLP is very thankful.

With heartfelt thanks,
Debora Wilcox

Earlier Post on Biscuit.......Introducing Little Biscuit......Biscuit's short life has not been very good. She was found last week by two boys fishing at a lake. She was put into a bag and thrown into the water by an individual.

Thank goodness two good samaritans witnessed that very evil act and did something about it. They pulled her from the lake and brought her to SCLP. She has been at the vet since arriving. The first few days were very touch and go, but she is a fighter. She is being treated for mange and dehydration. She is recovering but her vet bills will be ongoing and expensive.

If you'd like to help Biscuit get healthy and find a new forever home, please consider donating to her care.

Please donate online by clicking on the link at the left or you can mail donations to: 226 West 5th Street, Wahoo, NE 68066. SCLP is a not for profit corporation and donations are tax deductible.

Six of the ten puppies are still remaining for adoption...act fast! Available for adoption after September 27, 2010.

To see all the pets we have available go to our for adoption page.

WE ARE NOW OPEN FOR DOG BOARDING AND DOG DAYCARE.

We have several 5 x 5 (25 sq. foot) spaces available for your pet to be comfortable in while you are away. They will get personal attention and go outside to the yards for "potty breaks".

Call 402 432 2814 for more information on dog boarding and dog daycare.

We are always in need of more volunteers. Click here to download our volunteer form and bring it with you when you come to volunteer.

SCLP has moved! We are now located at 226 West 5th Street in Wahoo, Nebraska. We have a large building and two outdoor play yards. We also have a large indoor play area, as well as training area. Our dogs are kept in large kennels so they are comfortable and have plenty of space to move around and enjoy their day whether they are boarding with us or waiting for a new forever home.

We are always in need of more volunteers or host/foster families to host animals that require special care or handling. If you are interested in providing a foster home or volunteering, please contact Debora 402-432-2814.

This site is dedicated in memory of Elliott and Sam Wilcox. To honor them and their fun loving, wonderful, yet onery spirits. Both were lost on 5/07/2005 when they got out of our yard and were never seen again. We have many wonderful memories of Elliott and Sam.

The loss of our two labs is the catalyst to starting this rescue. It is our hope that by the creation of this website and the rescue we can increase the chances for more lost pets to get back home. Our first goal is to return lost pets back home. When it is not possible to locate original owners our goal is to find new forever homes.
